Our client is an established engineering company with over 40 years of presence in Singapore and a strong track record in delivering M&E solutions for major infrastructure and LTA projects.

The role

The Mechanical Engineer will support the PD401 project across engineering, procurement, material submissions, QA/QC and project documentation. The role involves close coordination with clients, contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to support the timely and compliant delivery of project requirements.

Salary: Up to S$5,300 + Variable Bonus

Working hours: Monday to Friday office hours

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, review and management of Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to support sourcing activities.

Assist with material documentation, client approvals and submissions to LTA.

Support procurement activities, including material purchasing and coordination with suppliers.

Assist with QA/QC activities and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Prepare and update monthly project reports, including progress tracking and project documentation.

Maintain and update cycle check schedules to support timely inspections and project compliance.

Perform engineering duties including design, engineering calculations, planning and tender preparation or evaluation.

Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation for engineering deliverables.

Liaise with clients, project managers, architects, contractors and other relevant stakeholders.

Assist in resolving technical issues arising during the design and construction stages.

Support other engineering and project-related responsibilities as required by the Project Team.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Relevant experience in engineering or construction projects would be advantageous.

Experience with BOQ preparation, procurement, sourcing or material submissions would be advantageous.

Familiarity with QA/QC processes and engineering documentation.

Exposure to LTA or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.

Able to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal project stakeholders.
