About the Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take accountability for daily business operations, project delivery, tendering, and financial performance across FGI Developments.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a balance of strategic oversight and operational execution, with a strong focus on P&L performance, growth, and team capability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations across all civil and development projects

Drive project performance, delivery outcomes, and client satisfaction

Oversee tendering, estimating, and work-winning activities

Own and manage P&L, budgets, forecasting, and cost control

Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team

Identify and secure new business opportunities and growth markets

Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and legislative requirements

Strengthen relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders

Implement systems and processes to support scalable business growth

About You

You are a results-driven leader with a strong background in civil construction and a passion for building high-performing teams and businesses.

Proven experience in a General Manager / Senior Operations Leadership role

Strong background in civil construction and large-scale project delivery

Demonstrated experience managing P&L and commercial performance

Proven success in tendering, securing projects, and driving business growth

Ability to lead and scale teams in a growth-phase environment

Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Strong operational and strategic capability—boardroom to site

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (essential)
