About the Role
Our client operates one of Singapore's busiest container terminals. As a Prime Mover Operator (Container Trucking Master), you will operate prime mover vehicles to transport containers between the wharf and yard within the PSA terminal.
Full training is provided — this role is open to candidates holding a Class 3A licence and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Operate prime mover vehicles to transport containers from wharf to yard and vice versa within the PSA container terminal
Conduct pre-operation and post-operation vehicle checks before and after each shift
Comply with all PSA traffic and safety rules, procedures, and terminal operating systems
Mount and dismount containers safely using correct procedures
Communicate with operational groups and respond to instructions from the control centre
Operate the prime mover's onboard PC system to track and record container movements
Refuel the prime mover and prepare the vehicle for shift handover
Ensure goods are loaded and secured onto the vehicle before moving off
Verify correct container numbers before loading
Ensure on-time point-to-point delivery of containers
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and hygiene
Report any damages or incidents to superiors promptly
Attend toolbox briefings prior to the commencement of each shift
Comply with all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards and company SOPs
Requirements
Minimum Class 3A driving licence (Class 3 or 4 also accepted)
Minimum PSLE qualification with a pass in English
Able to commit to a minimum of 22 workdays per month on rotating 12-hour shifts (7:30 AM/PM start)
Willing and able to work outdoors, including night, weekend, and public holiday shifts
