An exciting opportunity is available for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Older Persons Mental Health Service in Burnie, Tasmania.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Nurse passionate about older persons' mental health and dementia care. Working within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll provide advanced specialist assessment, intervention and consultation for older people experiencing complex mental health concerns, behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia and acute changes in presentation.

In this role you'll play a key role in the Rapid Access Service, providing timely assessment, triage, short-term intervention and care coordination to support older Tasmanians to remain safely in their homes and reduce avoidable hospital presentations and admissions.

Essential requirements:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Extensive relevant psychiatric nursing experience desirable

Mental Health Nurse credentialing or relevant tertiary qualifications desirable

Strong clinical assessment and advanced clinical judgement skills

Passion for older persons' mental health and dementia care
