Operations Coordinator/Manager

Eastman Electrical is looking for a capable and organised Operations coordinator to help keep our projects, staff, and systems running smoothly. This is a key role in the business, you’ll be the link between management, the office and the field, making sure work is booked, tracked, and completed efficiently.
You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day communication between admin and field staff, keeping jobs moving, and maintaining structure across our operations. The role suits someone who likes being in control of the details but also enjoys working with people and solving problems on the fly.
Key responsibilities:
Estimate and quote electrical and project work
Prepare and review variations and scopes of work
Perform basic electrical design tasks, including load assessments, layout planning and compliance checks
Coordinate daily scheduling and job allocations across the job pipeline
Monitor workflow, deadlines and priorities to keep jobs on track
Follow up on quotes, materials and job notes so nothing slips through
Manage communication between office and field staff, with clear direction and accountability both ways
Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to field electricians
Act as the escalation point for site-based queries
Conduct site visits
Step into field operations when needed to support delivery or resolve issues
Handle client enquiries and assist with customer relations and sales follow-up
Oversee stock management, ordering and company assets
Maintain safety records and ensure ongoing compliance, including asset and equipment safety records
Maintain working knowledge of relevant standards and installation practices
Report regularly to management on job progress, costs and any issues that need escalating
Eligibility requirements
Clear, demonstrable estimating experience in electrical or construction
Demonstrable project management experience
Minimum 2 years in an office-based construction role
Solid commercial and residential electrical knowledge
Strong coordination or operations experience in a trade or construction environment
Confident communicator who stays calm and clear under pressure
Highly organised, with sound judgement and initiative
Comfortable using job management software (Simpro, Groundplan, Google Workspace) or quick to learn it
White card and driver's licence
A NSW electrical contractor's or supervisor's licence is highly desirable, though people with strong estimating and/or construction management experience are still encouraged to apply

Salary $110,000-$120,000+ depending on experience + Bonus + a take home vehicle
