Our client is a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider. Due to business expansion, they are now recruiting a Deputy General Manager (Air Freight Manager + Operation Excellent) to support business operations and commercial growth. They are located in the East – easily accessible.
Responsibilities:
Support the General Manager in overseeing business operations and strategic initiatives.
Develop and execute commercial plans to achieve revenue and business growth targets.
Manage pricing strategies, tender submissions, and major customer proposals.
Build and maintain key customer relationships while handling commercial escalations.
Monitor market trends and recommend business strategies to maintain competitiveness.
Oversee freight forwarding, warehousing, customs clearance, and end-to-end logistics operations.
Negotiate commercial agreements with carriers, logistics partners, and service providers.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, trade requirements, and operational standards.
Drive process improvements, digital initiatives, and operational efficiency across business functions.
Monitor departmental performance, budgets, operating costs, and overall business profitability.
Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth execution of commercial and operational activities.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum 15 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.
At least 5 years of management experience leading business operations or commercial teams.
Proven experience managing sales teams and driving business development performance.
Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, warehousing, customs brokerage, and transportation operations.
Experience handling commercial negotiations, contract management, and tender submissions.
Familiar with freight management systems and digital logistics platforms.
