About the role:
Our Sun Valley store is recruiting for a Fruit & Veg Assistant Manager. Reporting directly to the Fruit & Veg Manager, the successful applicants will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of the Fruit & Veg department to ensure the smooth operation of the department and it's team.
If successful, you will be required to assist with managing and coaching the team, completing production, actioning orders, generating rosters + much more!
Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
Fresh food retail knowledge is preferred, but not essential
Ability to supervise a team
An understanding of ordering, cost control and gross profit
Accurate team member rostering
Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
Unparalleled commitment to customer service
Excellent communication skills
Ability to liaise with both team members and management
A flair for merchandising
Commitment to work health and safety standards
