About the Client

Our client delivers sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy solutions—spanning engineering, construction, water treatment and energy generation

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support the safe delivery of a large-scale renewable energy infrastructure project. Working closely with project teams, contractors, and site leadership, you will promote a strong safety culture, provide practical risk management support, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements. This is a hands-on site-based role suited to a proactive safety professional with experience in civil, electrical, or major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across the project

Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews

Facilitate risk assessments and hazard identification activities

Support incident investigations and corrective actions

Monitor contractor compliance with safety requirements

Deliver toolbox talks, safety communications, and coaching

Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and project standards

Maintain safety documentation, records, and reporting systems

Support environmental and quality management initiatives

Work closely with project teams to drive continuous improvement

Skills and Experience Required

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (mandatory)

Current White Card (mandatory)

Current Driver's Licence (mandatory)

Diploma in Work Health and Safety (preferred)

Electrical or civil trade background highly regarded

Experience on substations, transmission lines, or tower projects

Renewable energy project experience preferred

Strong understanding of risk-based safety methodologies

Safety Lead Auditor qualification (highly regarded)

Certificate IV in Environmental Management (beneficial)

Degree in Safety, Environment, Quality, Project Management, or related discipline (desirable)

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
