An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a well-established manufacturing operation. Working in a modern production environment, you will be responsible for maintaining plant equipment, responding to breakdowns and supporting continuous improvement projects.
This role will suit a trade-qualified Electrician with experience in industrial maintenance, automation and manufacturing environments
Your new role
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimise downtime
Install, maintain and troubleshoot motors, control panels and industrial electrical systems
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
Conduct routine inspections, testing and compliance checks
Assist with commissioning of new equipment and production upgrades
Work closely with maintenance and production teams to improve reliability and efficiency
Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects
What you'll need to succeed
Current NSW Electrical Licence
Trade qualifications in Electrical
Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, industrial or production environments
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities
Exposure to PLC systems and industrial automation
Understanding of Australian electrical standards and WHS requirements
Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Highly Regarded
- SCADA experience
- Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge
- Registered Cabler Licence
- Experience supporting plant upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
