Due to continued growth and a strong focus on operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Matter Management Data Analyst to support their Sydney and Melbourne operations.

You will play a critical role in analysing matter progression, driving operational efficiencies, improving client service outcomes, and delivering meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Optimising matter progression and operational performance.
• Developing dashboards, KPIs, and business intelligence reporting.
• Analysing WIP, matter ageing, productivity, and client service metrics.
• Identifying bottlenecks and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Delivering data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Supporting automation, reporting, and process improvement projects.
• Improving efficiency, profitability, and client outcomes across the firm.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, or Reporting Analyst.
• Experience working within a law firm, professional services, financial services, or consulting environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, with strong reporting and dashboard development experience.
• Experience analysing large datasets and performance metrics.
• Ability to influence business decisions through data-driven insights.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Exposure to Power BI, SQL, CRM, or practice management systems (highly regarded).
• Experience supporting automation, AI, or process improvement initiatives (highly regarded).
