About the role
This is a full-time Secondary English & Science Teacher position at Schoolwerks Education Centre in Singapore. You will teach Secondary 1–4 English classes aligned with the Singapore MOE curriculum, Upper Primary English where required, and a second teaching subject, primarily Lower Secondary Science and Primary 5–6 Science. You will work a 5-day week across 4 weekdays and 1 compulsory weekend, with working hours from 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Key responsibilities
Teach Secondary 1–4 English classes aligned with the Singapore MOE curriculum
Teach Upper Primary English where required
Teach a second subject, primarily Lower Secondary Science and Primary 5–6 Science
Prepare engaging lesson plans and learning materials
Monitor students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback
Mark assignments, assessments and examination papers promptly
Communicate students' progress professionally with parents
Maintain a positive, engaging and disciplined classroom environment
Participate in curriculum planning, teacher training and centre meetings
Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching resources and programmes
About you
Bachelor's Degree in English, Science, Education or a related discipline
Excellent spoken and written English
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Passionate about student development and committed to delivering high-quality lessons
Comfortable teaching both independently and collaboratively
Willing to teach a second subject (Science or Mathematics)
NIE-trained teachers and candidates with MOE teaching experience are preferred
Fresh graduates with a strong passion for teaching are welcome to apply
