About the Role
Join a well-established Indigenous-owned civil construction and mining contractor experiencing significant year on year growth across Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator to play a key role in strengthening estimating capability, improving project performance, and contributing to the successful delivery of civil and mining projects.
Working closely with senior leadership across Commercial, Finance, Operations and Business Development, you'll have the opportunity to influence tender success, project outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates across multiple civil construction and mining tenders
- Develop competitive pricing while protecting project margins
- Analyse project performance data to improve future estimating accuracy
- Support project cost control and commercial reporting
- Assess production rates, plant utilisation and project delivery methodologies
- Collaborate with Operations, Business Development and Commercial teams to develop winning tender strategies
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes
About You
You'll bring estimating experience within civil construction, mining or earthworks, along with strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience preparing estimates for civil construction, mining and/or earthworks projects
- Strong understanding of production rates, project costing and commercial principles
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Ability to estimate works and cost control once awarded
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Desirable
- Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying qualifications
- Experience delivering remote civil or mining projects
- Experience working with Aboriginal-owned businesses or First Nations communities
- Experience using estimating software such as Expert Estimation, Benchmark, Candy or similar
