About STAG Electrical

Founded in 2007, STAG Electrical has grown from a one-person operation into an established, expanding solar and battery business servicing customers across multiple Australian states.

Over 18 years, we have completed more than 10,000 installations and built our reputation on honest advice, quality workmanship and customer-first service. STAG is Platinum Rated on SolarQuotes, recognised as the number-one solar installer in the ACT, and backed by a lifetime workmanship guarantee.

We are continuing to grow and need a capable appointment setter who can strengthen the handover between marketing and sales while protecting the quality of the customer experience.

The opportunity

You will be the first meaningful human contact for homeowners who have enquired about solar, batteries or system upgrades. These are primarily warm inbound enquiries rather than cold prospect lists.

Your role is to understand the customer’s situation, establish rapport, complete a useful first-stage qualification and book the right prospects into discovery calls with our solar sales team. The information and trust you build before that appointment directly affect the quality of the sales conversation.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who already understands solar and wants to develop further. For the right person, there is a pathway to progress into a solar sales role as the business grows.

What you will do

Respond quickly and professionally to new solar and battery enquiries.

Speak with homeowners by phone and follow up through SMS or email where required.

Build rapport and establish trust in STAG before the salesperson takes over.

Qualify the customer’s goals, energy usage, existing system, property basics, timing, budget considerations and decision readiness.

Identify important technical or commercial details, including existing solar, phase type, battery interest, finance requirements, competing quotes and customer concerns.

Book qualified discovery appointments with the appropriate salesperson.

Write concise, useful CRM notes so the salesperson understands the customer before the discovery call begins.

Follow an agreed multi-touch contact cadence for new, unresponsive and older leads.

Maintain accurate records of contact attempts, outcomes, bookings, reschedules and handovers.

Work with the sales team to improve appointment quality, attendance, quote progression and customer experience.

Share recurring customer questions, objections and lead-quality feedback with the wider team.

What success looks like

New leads receive a fast and consistent first response.

Customers enter discovery calls with trust, context and realistic expectations.

Salespeople receive complete notes and can begin each call from a stronger position.

Appointments are qualified and likely to attend, not booked simply to hit a volume target.

Follow-up is consistent, and every lead has a clear next step.

Performance is judged across quality and commercial outcomes, not call volume alone.

About you

Essential

Previous experience in solar appointment setting, solar sales support or a closely related solar customer-facing role.

Working knowledge of residential solar and battery systems, with the ability to discuss customer needs credibly and identify when technical questions should be escalated.

Strong phone communication, rapport-building and qualification skills.

Clear written communication and disciplined CRM note-taking.

Confidence using CRM, dialler and messaging systems.

A persistent, organised and accountable approach to follow-up.

Good judgement. You know the difference between a booked appointment and a genuinely qualified opportunity.

Highly regarded

Experience with solar finance, rebates, batteries, system upgrades or multi-state Australian solar markets.

Experience using Pipedrive, GoHighLevel, JustCall or similar systems.

A track record of improving appointment attendance, quote progression or sales handover quality.

Interest in progressing into a solar sales role over time.

What STAG offers

A stable opportunity with an established solar business operating since 2007.

Warm inbound enquiry volume across a growing national footprint.

Training, coaching and support from experienced solar and sales team members.

How to apply

Please submit your resume and a short introduction covering:

Your experience in solar appointment setting, solar sales or a related role.

The solar and battery knowledge you bring.

An example of how you would qualify a homeowner who already has solar, is considering a battery or upgrade, and has received quotes from other providers.

The CRM and calling systems you have used.

Why you are interested in growing with STAG Electrical.
