The Opportunity:

Murrumbidgee Local Health District is seeking a Locum General Medicine Registrar to support a longer-term block of weekday shifts at a regional hospital.

This role is suited to a registrar with strong General Medicine experience who is confident supporting ED/HITH cover, ward-based care, Rapid Response and escalation across a busy regional hospital setting.

The placement offers Monday to Friday shifts only, making it a great opportunity for a doctor seeking consistent locum work with a competitive hourly rate.

Clinical Environment:

General Medicine Registrar role within Murrumbidgee LHD
Longer-term weekday locum block
ED/HITH shifts, generally 09:00 – 17:30
Medical and ward support, including Rapid Response involvement
Exposure across ICU, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Maternity and code blues

Key Duties:

Support ED/HITH and General Medicine presentations
Provide ward-based medical cover and patient reviews
Assist with Rapid Response and escalation of care
Complete clinical documentation and handover
Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams

Eligibility Criteria:

Current AHPRA Registration
Recent General Medicine registrar-level experience
Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately
Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
