We are recruiting on behalf of a growing Australian marketing business that specialises in local area advertising for small to medium-sized businesses.

This role has previously been managed by an offshore team and is now being brought back to Australia. We are seeking a locally based designer who understands the Australian SME market and can work closely with the internal team.
This is a permanent part-time position (9:00am-3:00pm), with flexibility to work beyond 3:00pm when required. The role can be fully work-from-home or office-based.

About the Role

This is not brand campaign design.
You will be creating clear, simple, results-driven print and digital advertising for local service businesses such as plumbers, electricians, gyms, schools and trades — with a focus on generating enquiries through strong calls to action and effective layouts.
Key responsibilities include:

• Designing advertising for SME local area marketing campaigns
• Creating clean, high-impact layouts with strong typography
• Using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Developing 2D animation using Adobe After Effects
• Applying video editing skills for promotional content
• Maintaining consistent branding and messaging
• Managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
• Liaising with internal team members to understand briefs

About You

• 2-3 years' professional graphic design experience
• Relevant qualification in Graphic Design (or similar)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating work across multiple mediums
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with Adobe After Effects and 2D animation
• Video editing capability
• Experience designing for SME or local area marketing environments
• Ability to work across multiple industries (not just one brand)
• Strong attention to detail and layout skills
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Experience with 3D animation is advantageous but not essential.
