ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Collections Officer to hit the ground running in a busy, high-volume environment. Reporting to the Collections Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting customers with overdue accounts, negotiating suitable repayment arrangements and contributing to overall collections performance. Working alongside an energetic and driven team, you'll be trusted to manage customer interactions with empathy and professionalism while achieving collection targets.

DUTIES

• Conduct outbound calls to recover overdue payments
• Negotiate and establish suitable repayment plans with customers
• Manage inbound enquiries from customers in arrears
• Send collections documentation and correspondence as required
• Maintain accurate customer records and account notes
• Investigate account information and assist with skip tracing activities where required
• Build positive customer relationships while achieving collection outcomes
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Previous collections experience within a financial services or related environment
• Strong negotiation, communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to manage high call volumes and work to targets
• Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-focused approach
• Skip tracing experience highly regarded but not essential
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
