About the role

We are seeking a Group Operations & Supply Chain Coordinator on a full-time basis at our Heidelberg West location in Melbourne. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and production processes across all our Australian operations as well as coordinating with Head Office operations and supply chain in both Hong Kong and China. In this role, you will be working closely with the Group Operations Director and provide support in the planning, scheduling, and execution of our operational activities with both site teams and head office teams, and contributing directly to the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations.

This role is open to candidates at various experience levels and the final position title, responsibilities and salary will depend on the successful candidate’s experience.

Key responsibilities

1) Operations and Supply Chain

Assist with operational and supply chain priorities across the group.

Collect and analyse production, inventory and supply chain information.

Monitor stock levels, suppliers, freight, lead times and material availability.

Assist in resolving shortages, late deliveries, operational delays and recurring issues.

Review existing processes and identify practical improvements.

Support purchasing, sourcing and cost-reduction activities.

Prepare operational reports and track agreed actions.

Document procedures and standard work practices.

Work with site teams to implement and follow up agreed improvements.

Coordinate operational and supply chain activities across the five Australian sites.

Work closely with the Head Office operations and supply chain teams in Hong Kong and China.

Support communication and coordination between the Australian sites, Head Office and overseas suppliers.

2) Projects

Assist with equipment, systems, capacity and operational projects.

Maintain action lists, timelines and progress reports.

Coordinate information between sites, Head Office, suppliers and contractors.

Opportunities to independently manage select projects

3) Travel

Monthly travel required for approximately one week to group businesses

Work directly with production, warehouse and site management teams.

Review site operations and follow up agreed actions after each visit.

What we're looking for

Experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain in production, warehousing, logistics or procurement

Qualifications in Supply Chain, logistics, operations, business or related area

Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with ERP, inventory or warehouse management systems

Good Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with operational data.

Ability to prepare clear reports and maintain action lists.

Good written and verbal communication skills

Practical and hands-on approach.

Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees both locally in Australia and overseas in Hong Kong and China

Ability to communicate and work effectively with international teams, suppliers and contractors

Ability to follow tasks through to completion.

Current driver licence

Unrestricted working rights in Australia
