Neighbourhood House Coordinator
Part-Time | 28 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 5.6 hours per day)
Fixed-Term until 30 June 2028

We're seeking a passionate and community-minded Neighbourhood House Coordinator to lead The Grange Community Centre. This rewarding role is perfect for someone who enjoys bringing people together, building partnerships and creating programs that make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

About the role
As the Neighbourhood House Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Centre and support the delivery of programs, activities and initiatives that strengthen community participation and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate programs and activities to meet the Department Families, Fairness and Housing guidelines
  • Be involved in the delivering and/or facilitation or activities to support the activation of groups
  • Work alongside and report to the Community Liaison Officer in the coordination of programs and activities
  • Building strong relationships with community members, volunteers and local partners
  • Supporting governance processes, reporting and compliance requirements
  • Recruiting, supporting and coordinating volunteers
  • Managing facility bookings, resources and community space usage
  • Identifying grant, partnership and funding opportunities
  • Promoting community participation, inclusion and engagement

About you
You are an organised and proactive community professional with a genuine passion for working with people and strengthening communities.

You will bring:

  • Experience in community development, community services or a similar setting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Experience coordinating programs, projects or community initiatives
  • Understanding of governance, compliance and reporting requirements
  • Experience supporting volunteers, community groups or teams
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to diversity, inclusion, participation and community development principles

Qualifications
You will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Community Development, Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Management, Adult Education or a related field; or
  • Demonstrated equivalent experience in community development, neighbourhood house coordination, community services or a related field.
