The Client:

My client is a hugely successful, Melbourne based Fund Manager with some of the best performing funds in Australia. They have grown rapidly over the last ten years and have an extremely low turnover due to the effort that they put into ensuring that all staff feel empowered and are treated fairly and with respect.

The Senior Investment Operations Analyst position is a newly created role. Working in a high-performing team you will have a broad range of responsibilities across the entire daily trade lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture, review, and validate trade data. Investigate and resolve unmatched trades with brokers.
• Monitor FX execution and cash funding related to investment activity.
• Track and process corporate actions including dividends, splits, rights issues, and mergers.
• Perform daily position and cash reconciliations. Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and identify root causes.
• Support NAV oversight and pricing validation checks during the valuation cycle.
• Ensure accuracy of reference data and pricing. Support compliance and risk teams by delivering exposure, limit, and breach reports.
• Participate in operational uplift projects (e.g., process automation, system integration).
• Contribute to new fund launch operational setup and testing.

The Candidate:

• 2+ years’ experience in an operational or middle office role within financial services.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL/Python exposure a plus.
• Strong communication skills to manage stakeholders across internal teams and external vendors.
• High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
• The confidence to challenge processes and drive improvements.
