General Manager & Licensee: The Most Important Hire I'll Ever Make

I'm Corey Jones — Founder of Motivate Property Group. I'm writing this ad personally, because this is not a standard hire.

Motivate Property Group is a full-scope property investment advisory, encompassing property investment sales, property development, property management and finance broking — with a team of +45, a proven process, and a genuine track record of changing our clients' financial futures. The business is growing across every one of those arms, and I need one leader who can run it all alongside me — not just the parts that look good on a resume.

This is a General Manager and Licensee role. You'll be the person I trust to run the business day-to-day: leading our people, driving performance across Sales, Property Management, Finance Broking and Property Development, and holding full compliance responsibility as our licensed person in Bona Fide Control.

I'm not looking for someone who has only ever run one part of a real estate business. I'm looking for a genuine leader — someone who has led teams and driven results across at least two of our four core areas (Sales, Property Management, Finance Broking, Development), and who has the credibility and character to hold the licence that comes with this seat.

About the Role:

Based in Balcatta, hybrid, you'll report directly to me as Owner & Founder. You'll hold Bona Fide Control across Motivate Property Group and its entities, carrying responsibility for business performance, people, operations and compliance.

This is the senior seat at the table. You won't be micro-managed — but you will be held to a high standard.

What You'll Own:

Business Growth & Strategic Leadership

• Drive organic growth and performance across Property Sales, Property Management, Finance Broking, and Property Development.

• Hold the management team accountable to Playbook Metrics — and escalate where required.

• Own the customer satisfaction program, and personally lead the resolution of client complaints with urgency and professionalism.

• Identify and act on opportunities to grow revenue and market position across all four arms of the business.

Leadership & Culture

• Drive the performance, accountability and engagement of the management team through KPIs, process adherence, and consistent coaching.

• Lead internal meetings, company events, and regular sessions with department heads.

• Champion training, development and recognition programs that keep the team motivated and growing.

• Be visible, approachable, and the standard-setter for how we operate.

Operations & People Management

• Take joint responsibility with me for employment decisions, performance management, and disciplinary matters.

• Coordinate and document quarterly reviews with department heads.

• Set the structure, tasks and expectations for administration roles across the business.

• Ensure operational systems are used correctly and consistently by all team members.

Compliance & Bona Fide Control

• Hold full compliance responsibility under DMIRS, the REBA Act, PIPA and the Code of Conduct.

• Ensure all agency agreements, contracts and registrations are valid, compliant, and current, including CPD requirements for the team.

• Keep the Sales and Property Management teams informed of compliance updates, procedural changes, or required behavioural shifts.

• Oversee trust accounting and ensure annual audits are conducted in line with DMIRS requirements.

Who You Are:

You've built a genuine track record as a real leader — not just a specialist in one lane. You're not looking for a job — you're looking for a role you can take ownership of and be proud of.

You'll need:

• A full Real Estate Agent's Licence (non-negotiable — legally required for this role).

• Proven leadership experience in at least two of: Property Sales, Property Management, Finance Broking, Property Development.

• A track record of leading teams to results — not just managing them.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to hold a team to a high standard while keeping people onside.

• An accountable, structured and organised approach, with the consistency to back it up over time.

• Genuine care for client experience, and the maturity to handle complaints as seriously as I do.

Why Motivate Property Group:

We're not a franchise, and we're not a traditional real estate agency. We're a property investment advisory, finance and development business that genuinely changes our clients' financial trajectory — and we take that seriously.

Our team is close-knit, high-performing and culture-driven. We have a strong brand, a proven process, and a business that's actively growing across every arm. This isn't a role where you maintain the status quo — it's a role where you help build something.

The right person will have the autonomy, trust and support of the Founder, and will play a direct role in shaping the future of the business.

How to Apply:

If this sounds like the role you've been waiting for, I'd love to hear from you.

Apply by emailing ••••@motivateproperty.com.au with your CV and a brief note on why this role is right for you — and which parts of our business (Sales, Property Management, Finance Broking, Development) you've led before.

A Note on Recruiters:

I won't be engaging recruitment agencies for this position, and will not respond to agency introductions — do not attempt to contact us as we will only be working with direct applicants only.
