Adecco is currently seeking motivated and mechanically minded Operations Specialists / Bike Technicians to support the launch of a new shared e-bike fleet in Hobart.

This is a unique opportunity to join a national fleet rollout project from day one, helping establish operations ahead of launch before transitioning into ongoing fleet maintenance, deployment, and field operations. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem solving, and working in a fast-paced environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Start Date: 26 August 2026
Pay Rate: from $33.38 to $34.96 per hour
Employment Type: Casual

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with container unloading activities to support the fleet launch
  • Unloading, moving, and preparing newly delivered e-bikes for deployment
  • Completing inspections and quality checks on fleet assets
  • Performing basic mechanical repairs, servicing, and component replacements
  • Identifying and troubleshooting minor mechanical faults
  • Assembling, adjusting, and maintaining bikes
  • Loading and unloading bikes from company vehicles
  • Relocating and rebalancing fleet assets across designated service areas
  • Retrieving damaged, misplaced, or inactive bikes
  • Using mobile applications to track work activities and fleet status
  • Supporting warehouse, depot, and field-based operations
  • Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity

Your Profile

  • Full Australian working rights
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
  • Previous experience in assembly, maintenance, warehousing, labouring, trade assistant, technician, bicycle repair, or similar environments (highly regarded)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A reliable and safety-focused approach to work
  • Confidence using smartphones and mobile applications
  • The physical capability to perform manual handling and lifting tasks
  • The flexibility to work across warehouse, maintenance, and operational activities as required

No formal trade qualification is required.

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the launch of an exciting new transport initiative in Hobart while gaining experience across operations, maintenance, and fleet management.
