You'll play a pivotal role in evolving the customer experience across hundreds of restaurants, leading refurbishment strategies, driving design innovation and ensuring every investment strengthens both the brand and commercial performance.

The Opportunity
Reporting into the National Design team, you'll be responsible for developing refurbishment strategies that elevate customer experience, improve operational efficiency and ensure every restaurant reflects evolving Brand Standards.
You'll work closely with Development, Operations, Real Estate, Construction and external architects to deliver commercially smart, highly functional and visually exceptional restaurants.
This isn't simply about producing drawings.
It's about influencing how millions of customers experience one of Australia's favourite restaurant brands.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead new-build, refurbishment and reinvestment strategies across the national store network
- Assess existing restaurants and recommend innovative design improvements
- Develop concept documentation alongside architects and consultants
- Drive projects from concept through approvals and construction support
- Prepare business cases and capital approval submissions
- Ensure designs meet brand standards, operational requirements and commercial objectives
- Partner closely with Operations to continuously improve the restaurant environment
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience while maximising return on investment
About You
You'll probably come from Architecture, Interior Design or Retail Design and understand the unique challenges of designing for high-volume customer environments. More importantly, you'll be commercially minded and passionate about creating spaces that people genuinely enjoy visiting.
You'll bring:
- Experience designing or delivering Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) or high-volume retail environments
- Strong knowledge of restaurant design, customer flow and operational functionality
- Architecture, Interior Design or similar qualifications
- Experience with CAD, SketchUp or similar design software
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
- Commercial thinking with the confidence to influence investment decisions
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
