Russo Estate Winery is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic full-time all-rounder to join our team long-term.

Set among the vines in Diggers Rest, Russo Estate is a busy winery, restaurant and events venue. We are looking for someone who enjoys variety in their day, works well in a fast-paced service environment, and takes pride in providing friendly, consistent customer service.

About the role

This is a hands-on hospitality position working across restaurant service, bar and general floor duties. You will be part of the daily service team and play an important role in delivering smooth, efficient service to our guests.

Key responsibilities & required abilities

Applicants must be confident and capable of performing the following independently:

Running a restaurant section during service, greeting guests, managing tables and pacing service

Taking orders accurately and using a POS system

Carrying three plates and clearing plates efficiently during busy service

Using a drink tray to deliver multiple beverages to tables

Preparing and serving alcoholic beverages including wine, beer and basic cocktails

Making basic coffee during service periods (latte art not expected)

Opening and closing service areas including full venue setup and pack-down

Moving and resetting tables, chairs and furniture for functions and large bookings

Maintaining clean and organised service stations throughout service (polishing glassware, cutlery, restocking, wiping down sections)

Assisting bar, floor or functions team as needed during peak periods

Following RSA and service procedures while handling guest enquiries and complaints professionally

What we're looking for

To be considered, applicants should meet the following:

Proven hospitality floor experience in a restaurant, bar or function venue

Confident, professional guest interaction and ability to manage tables without supervision

Strong communication and the ability to work efficiently within a team during busy service

Ability to remain organised, attentive and calm under pressure

Comfortable being on your feet for long shifts and performing physical tasks such as carrying plates, trays and moving furniture

Current Victorian RSA (required)

Basic barista skills and milk texturing ability highly regarded

Availability

Full-time, 38 hours per week. Wednesday to Sunday roster.
Day shifts approx. 11:00am – 3:30pm
Evening shifts approx. 5:00pm – close
