About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical design output on projects from concept through to handover across Electrical, Communications, and Security disciplines, and serve as the primary technical contact for clients, contractors, and authorities.

What You'll Do

Design and document LV power distribution, switchboards, earthing, lighting, communications, security, and essential services systems

Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and schedules to Australian Standards and NCC requirements

Manage project deliverables from tender phase through to handover, including DA documentation, construction documentation, and Works-as-Executed drawings

Act as primary design liaison with clients, contractors, utilities, and authorities; manage RFIs and formal communications

Conduct design reviews and QA sign-off in line with SPACE's QA framework

Support site teams with engineering advice, site inspections, and commissioning

Mentor junior engineers, formally and informally, contributing to performance reviews

Design EV charging, load management, renewable energy, and Green Star projects

What We're Looking For

5+ years of building services electrical design experience in an Australian consulting environment

Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, the NCC, and local authority requirements

Demonstrated ACT or multi-state utility connection and authority approvals experience

Proficient in AutoCAD, PowerCAD, AGI32, and Bluebeam Revu; Revit experience advantageous

Proficient in designing new, emerging, and non-standard installations such as EV and load management systems, renewable energy, and Green Star projects

Qualifications & Registrations

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an Australian university, recognised by Engineers Australia

Member of Engineers Australia (MIEAust) and listing on the NER

Professional Engineer Registration in ACT

NSW DBP Act registration
