Why This Role Matters
At TAS, we believe education is transformational. Every role in our school contributes to shaping confident, capable, curious and values driven young people.
The School Librarian plays a pivotal role at the heart of this learning journey — balancing the day-to-day operations of a dynamic library with meaningful support for teaching and learning. In this role, you will manage and maintain a contemporary library service, including cataloguing, collection development, and digital systems, while ensuring seamless access to resources across the school.
You will oversee the library as a vibrant, student-centred space — supporting students and staff with research, guiding information literacy, and ensuring collections remain current, accessible, and aligned to the curriculum. From managing the Smart Library system and SCIS database to coordinating textbook hire and supervising daily library use, your work underpins a well‑functioning, future‑focused learning hub.
This is a role with real impact — combining technical expertise, organisation, and a passion for learning to create a library environment where students are supported, engaged, and inspired to become lifelong learners.
