Monardo Legal is an established and growing law firm with offices in Ashfield.

We provide practical, strategic and commercially focused legal advice to individuals, families, businesses and community organisations. Our practice covers a diverse range of matters, including commercial law, litigation and dispute resolution, property law, family law, employment law, estate planning and business transactions.

We are now seeking a motivated and client-focused lawyer to join our Ashfield office.

The scope and seniority of the position can be tailored to suit the experience and strengths of the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

Managing a varied caseload with appropriate supervision and support

Advising clients across one or more of the firm’s practice areas

Drafting correspondence, contracts, pleadings, affidavits, court documents and legal advice

Conducting legal research and preparing clear, practical recommendations

Appearing in courts and tribunals, where appropriate

Briefing and working with counsel and other professional advisers

Communicating with clients, opposing solicitors and relevant authorities

Managing deadlines, file administration and billing requirements

Assisting with business development and the growth of the firm

Delivering professional, responsive and commercially sensible client service

About You

The successful applicant will ideally have:

Admission as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW

A current NSW practising certificate, or eligibility to obtain one

Post-admission experience in a law firm or legal practice

Experience in one or more of commercial law, litigation, property, family law, employment law or wills and estates

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Sound legal research, drafting and analytical abilities

Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills

The confidence to communicate directly with clients and manage matters

A practical, solutions-focused approach to legal work

A high level of professionalism, integrity and discretion

The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
