We are a leading edge – state-of-the-art multi-disciplinary practice. Which consists of Surgeons, Physiotherapists, and Psychiatrist. The Surgeons provide Obstetrics and Gynae services to our patients. Our practice needs to be seen to be believed – it is simply amazing. Bright and light and modern, a great warm inviting atmosphere. We have a staggered roster system, allowing you to start late or early and finish late or early – to miss the traffic/pick ups/drop offs/gym sessions. We have a great team environment. About you
We are looking for a professionally presented dedicated and hard-working Medical Receptionist/Secretary who would love to support our Practice and Admin team and to be part of a growing and enthusiastic team. You will bring your strong communication skills and multi-tasking skills to be part of our awesome team.
We are happy to consider candidates from GP/Physician background and Reception/strong administration experience from any industry who are willing to upskill to become a Surgical Medical Receptionist. No day is the same in this role, with lots of variety, where you can utilise your amazing people skills and develop your administrative and secretarial skills.
This role includes the following:
Busy reception assisting our Surgeons and Allied Health practitioners – reporting to the Principal Surgeon and our lovely Practice Manager
Amazing established work environment (modern bright light rooms) with a fantastic team
Be upskilled and trained in Xestro Medical Software (if you already have experience that would be amazing)
Uploading referrals/reports/images to patient files before consults
Consulting billing
Theatre billing, booking and quoting (training in time can be provided)
What you would bring to the team:
Warm engaging people centric personality
Strong communicator who loves following process
Experience performing well in a very busy environment
Skills in multi-tasking and prioritising needs of multiple people at once
Customer service skills (telephone included) that are exceptional including managing consulting sessions and meet and greet
IT savvy, with skills to troubleshoot if needed
Medical Typing
Experience in managing a consulting session and uploading referrals and results to patient files and opening and closing the rooms (or training can be provided)
To be successful you will be/have:
Unflappable and calm when dealing with many tasks at one time
Flexible mindset, willing to think outside the square – love innovation and efficiency
Impeccably presented, which would include verbally, in person, and in writing
Have strong attention to detail and a passion for excellent patient care
A ‘can do’ attitude that will exceed expectations
Pride yourself on your punctuality
Customer service skills that are exceptional (this cannot be overstated)
Excellent organisational skills and work ethic
Outstanding interpersonal skills and good initiative
Hours/days:
Early starts/early finishes and late starts/late finishes, over a rotating roster, or to fit your personal/family requirements. Full time - 38 hours per week, which could be over 4 or 5 days per week

We also ask that you can be flexible to adjust your rostered hours from time to time for the needs of the practice, when another staff member is on leave or switching shifts.
Payrate:
$30-38.00 per hour plus super (dependent on skillset and experience)
