About the role:
- Join a Casualty Claims practice led by a Partner with extensive experience in insurance and dispute resolution and a particular focus on professional indemnity and casualty claims
- Manage complex claims for domestic and international insurers across professional indemnity and financialised matters, including for accountants, valuers, financial advisers, brokers, property managers and construction professionals
- Run personal injury and liability matters ranging from smaller files to large, complex and catastrophic claims involving multiple parties, including class actions
- Opportunity to build exposure to shipping and aviation claims and insurance/reinsurance coverage disputes across all lines
- Work alongside a Partner who is well known and active in the insurance law community, and who regularly writes and presents on insurance law
The ideal candidate:
- Senior Associate or Senior Counsel with strong experience in casualty, professional indemnity or general insurance litigation
- Comfortable running complex and catastrophic claims, including multi-party and class action matters
- Strong technical, analytical and drafting skills, with the confidence to manage litigated matters independently
- Excellent client management skills and an interest in building a genuine specialism in casualty and financial claims
