About the role
We are seeking a talented HR Assistant/Executive to join our Human Resources team at our Paya Lebar East location. As an HR Assistant/Executive, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our HR operations, employee engagement initiatives, and recruitment activities. This role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of our HR department and contributing to the overall success and employee satisfaction within Guthrie Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the HR department, including managing HR records, employee files, and documentation in compliance with relevant regulations
Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting, screening of applications, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers
Support the onboarding and induction process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and positive first experience
Maintain and update employee databases and HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
Process and manage employee leave requests, attendance records, and payroll-related documentation
Assist in the organisation of HR training programmes, team building events, and employee engagement activities
Provide general HR support to employees, responding to queries and directing them to appropriate resources
Support the preparation of HR reports, performance metrics, and other documentation as required
Assist with policy implementation and ensure compliance with employment laws and company guidelines
Collaborate with various departments to support HR initiatives and projects
Requirement:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience as an HR Assistant, HR Executive, or similar HR support role, preferably within a consulting or generalist HR environment
Strong knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance
Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels
Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling sensitive employee information and documentation
A proactive and customer-service oriented mindset with a commitment to supporting employee satisfaction
Familiarity with Singapore employment laws and regulations is highly desirable
Experience in recruitment coordination and applicant tracking systems would be advantageous
