As an Underground nipper at Westfill, you will play a pivotal role.
About the role:
- Minimisation of jumbo down time by assisting with any repairs.
- Assist jumbo operator with installation of bolts and mesh for ground support.
- Ensure the mining team has supplies and equipment to support efficient workflow.
- Assist underground Operators and Service Crew as required.
- Keep the work area clean, tidy, and organised to support safe work practices.
- Record all shift report data correctly and on time.
- Participate in shift changeover and collect information for upcoming shift tasks.
- Promote an enjoyable, safe, and productive work environment.
About you:
- A minimum of 1 year experience working in an underground mining environment including truck and nipper roles.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to cope with working in a physically challenging environment.
- Current Valid Manual Driver’s License (Essential.)
- Full Australian Working Rights (Essential).
- WA-based and available for FIFO (Essential).
- Have LV & Manual Scaling tickets (Essential).
