We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at St Albans Meadows Kindergarten.

At St Albans Meadows Kindergarten, we provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment where children can express themselves and enjoy kindergarten. Our play-based programs for three-year-old and four-year-old kindergarten give children the best opportunity to learn and grow through play - the way children learn best.
Our experienced and qualified early childhood educators deliver high-quality programs that nurture confidence, creativity, and curiosity in an emotionally warm and intellectually stimulating setting.

This is a part time, ongoing position working 22.5 hours per week on a Tuesday from 9am to 1:30pm and Thursday, Friday from 8am to 5pm.

About you

  • You're reflective, curious and purpose-led, with a deep commitment to making a difference.
  • You're open to learning and understanding the unique needs of every child.
  • You're a critical thinker and collaborative team member.
  • You have a drive to grow and improve continually.
  • You value kindness and respect.
  • You have great knowledge of the child safe standards and early childhood regulations.
  • You hold a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, a VIT, mandatory reporting certificate, police check and a first aid certificate.

About the role

  • You'll develop a high-quality educational program for the 3/4-year-old program in consultation with children, families and educators to achieve agreed outcomes for children.
  • You'll work collaboratively with Educators to implement an educational program driven by children's interests, underpinned by the Early Years Learning Framework, that aims to achieve their holistic development and facilitate a smooth transition to school.
  • You'll document the delivery of the educational program, children's interests and assessments of their learning and development needs.
  • You'll critically reflect and inspire staff to critically reflect on their pedagogical practice, share ideas and identify innovative ways of achieving positive outcomes for children.
  • Contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basis.
