Located on the beautiful South Goulburn Island - One-hour flight from Darwin
(You are required to live on the Island)

Located approximately one hour by air from Darwin, Warruwi is a close-knit island community shaped by strong culture, sea country and community spirit. This is a unique opportunity to live and work on beautiful South Goulburn Island while helping deliver services that support community wellbeing.

West Arnhem Regional Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Wellbeing Services Senior Officer to lead local teams and coordinate essential community programs.

What you'll do:

Lead and support teams across Sport and Recreation, Crèche, Night Patrol, Community Care and Broadcasting.

Coordinate responsive, engaging and culturally appropriate community programs.

Build positive relationships with residents, Traditional Owners, community organisations and service providers.

Oversee administration, compliance and timely reporting.

Support staff development and promote a positive, safe and collaborative workplace.

What you'll need:

Diploma in Business or Community Services or 2 years of demonstrable experience

Strong leadership and communication skills

Cultural awareness and appreciation of remote Indigenous communities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and information technology

Current NT Driver's License and Ochre Card (or ability to obtain)
