The Product & Technology division delivers the technology, systems and services that keep the ABC on air and online. From supporting live broadcasts to delivering major technology projects, the team enables the ABC to achieve its creative, strategic and business goals.
About the Role
Join our Adelaide Technology Services team and provide technical support that helps keep ABC broadcast and production services operating reliably.
Working across a range of broadcast technologies, including both baseband and IP environments, you'll support television, radio and production systems, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to maintaining critical broadcast infrastructure. Shift work is an inherent requirement of this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support to minimise downtime and maintain broadcast continuity.
- Investigating, logging and resolving faults, escalating issues where required.
- Supporting maintenance, upgrades, installations and operational activities.
- Assisting with technical documentation, asset registers and system records.
- Performing technical operations, including TV Master Control and program links.
- Working with internal clients to identify needs and resolve technical issues.
- Contributing positively to team performance and collaboration.
- Occasional regional travel within South Australia.
About You
You are a technically capable professional with experience in broadcast technology, media technology or a related field. You enjoy solving problems, working with clients and contributing to a team that supports critical broadcast operations.
You will bring:
- Experience supporting broadcast, production or related technology environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across TV, audio or production systems.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes on time.
- Well-developed communication and customer service skills.
- A collaborative approach and strong team focus.
- An understanding of emerging technologies and trends within the broadcast industry.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to undertake occasional regional travel.
