We have an opportunity for a Senior Service and Commissioning Engineer to join our Beverage Technical Team based in New South Wales commencing early 2027.

In this role you will work with the business on technical and practical engineering tasks as well as project management activities. Your duties will vary from office-based engineering design and projects (including but not limited to product development, manufacturing feasibility and operational improvement for new and existing products) through to site-based commissioning, refurbishment and hand-on maintenance of packaging machinery located at our customer locations.

Reporting to the Engineering and Project Manager your specific responsibilities will include:

Troubleshooting and servicing of Beverage Machines.

Provide technical support and guidance which may include liaising with Sales personnel and participating in customer review meetings.

Manage machinery projects from customer inquiry through to commissioning and refurbishment this will include liaising with colleagues in the USA and contractors.

Identify non-conforming machinery parts and recommend modifications or possible redesign of existing or new parts.

Provide input for assembly procedures and product improvement.

Conducting machinery condition audits and communicating to the customer ensuing actions.

Assist customers demonstrations and checkouts.

Work and attend presentations to customers as required.

Communicate and resolve production and technical problems on a daily basis which arise from in-house capabilities.

Prepare Engineering proposals as required.

Ensure continuous improvement of equipment and processes, including improvement projects.

Manage machinery spare parts including inventory, pricing quotes, ordering, receiving, and despatching.

Evaluate new technology.

Maintain drawing and specification files across machinery and product base.

Review and check work of mechanical designers and assemblers for conformance to engineering standards, dimensioning and clarity of data.

May direct or coordinate the activities of technicians and draftsmen on projects.

Work with Manufacturing and Service Contractors and Customers to resolve machine issues.

The successful applicant should have the following to be considered for the role:

degree in electrical / mechanical engineering from an Australian recognised tertiary institution. (5 years’ experience as an Engineer).

Or

Trade qualified with industry experience or equivalent experience (can be either Electrical or Mechanical).

PLC programming Siemens & Allen Bradley, with experience in servo motor controls & diagnostics – Highly desired although not essential.

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to senior level.

Team based focus with a proactive approach to meeting customer requirements.

Computer skills – spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), word processing (MS Project) and database (MS Access).

Proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks and working under pressure to achieve set deadlines.

Enjoy working in a diverse role from engineering, through to technical support and hands on site commissioning.

Have a focus on providing safe and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Valid Driver's License essential
