Are you an experienced signage installer ready to take ownership of projects and lead installations?
Signs SA is looking for a skilled and dependable Lead Signage Installer to join our growing team of more than 20 full-time staff.
This is a genuine lead installer position, 100% focused on installation. You will take responsibility for delivering quality signage projects on-site, generally working alongside a second installer who will support you.
For an experienced signage installer, the role includes a fully maintained company vehicle that can be taken home and used privately, with fuel provided.

Our team delivers everything from detailed custom signage through to major commercial projects and multi-site rollouts. The work is varied, challenging and highly visible.
The role
As our Lead Signage Installer, you will take ownership of installations from preparation and site set-out through to final completion and handover.
You will work independently on some projects, but most installations will be completed with the support of a second installer.
Your work will include:
Building, fascia and shopfront signage
Illuminated signage and fabricated letters
Pylon, directional and wayfinding signage
ACM and other rigid sign panels
Window graphics, frosting and films
Wallpaper and internal wall graphics
Vinyl lettering and digitally printed graphics
Large commercial and multi-site signage projects
School, corporate, retail and construction-site installations
Vehicle wrapping is not a major requirement of this position.
Key responsibilities
Lead and complete signage installations safely and efficiently
Direct and work alongside a second installer
Read installation drawings, plans and measurements
Complete accurate site set-outs
Identify and resolve practical installation challenges
Conduct pre-installation checks before departing the workshop
Ensure all signage, fixings, tools and access equipment are prepared
Coordinate professionally with clients, builders, site supervisors and other trades
Operate hand tools, power tools and access equipment safely
Load, transport and protect signage and installation equipment
Complete final quality checks and project handovers
Maintain clean and organised vehicles, tools and equipment
Represent Signs SA professionally on every site
About you
This is a lead position, so proven installation experience and the ability to take responsibility for projects are highly sought after.
The ideal applicant will have:
Demonstrated experience installing commercial signage
The ability to lead installations and guide a second installer
Experience installing fabricated, illuminated and rigid-panel signage
Experience with vinyl graphics, window films and wall graphics
Confidence reading drawings, plans and installation specifications
Accurate measuring and site set-out skills
Strong practical problem-solving ability
Confidence using hand tools, power tools and access equipment
A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
A professional approach when dealing with clients and site representatives
The ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
A current Australian C-Class driver’s licence
Australian working rights
A Certificate III in Signs and Graphics would be beneficial but is not essential where the applicant can demonstrate strong industry experience.
Current EWP and Working at Heights tickets are required or must be able to be obtained promptly with company support.
A Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance would be advantageous, particularly for installations completed at schools and other controlled sites.
We may also consider an exceptional installer from a closely related trade who can demonstrate the practical skills, leadership ability and attitude required to succeed in the position.
