Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on customer equipment and systems according to established procedures and service schedules.
Diagnose technical faults and carry out effective troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
Install, configure, and commission equipment at customer sites in accordance with safety requirements and technical specifications.
Conduct routine inspections and safety checks to identify and address potential equipment issues.
Maintain detailed records of service activities, maintenance work, and technical findings for customer and internal reporting.
Communicate with customers to explain technical issues, recommend solutions, and provide guidance on equipment operation.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained for field service activities.
Respond promptly to service calls and emergency requests to resolve critical technical issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service processes and field operations.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Relevant experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, or similar field-based technical role, preferably in life sciences, manufacturing, or industrial equipment.
Strong knowledge of equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and service documentation.
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and service management technologies is an advantage.
