Talent Insights Group are hiring a contract Senior Data Analyst to work on large retail campaign, sales and performance data. This position requires strong professional analytics and/or data science skills and ideally over 4-5 years (minimum) experience in a similar job. Direct experience supporting national or multinational retail companies is highly regarded.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of professional Data Analyst and/or Data Science experience, with a preference for managing marketing campaign data in large retail settings
• Bachelor or Master's degree in Analytics, Mathematics or a similar quantitative field
• Hands-on professional experience using Google BigQuery and adjacent GCP (Google Cloud Platform) services
• Data visualisation using Looker and Power BI and ideally use of Streamlit for app and demos
• Strong skillset using SQL for data quality, management, exploration and data pipelines
• Python and R experience, including some analytics and machine learning packages, such as Numpy, scikit-learn, PyTorch or similar
• Direct experience with measuring campaign performance and incrementality of marketing offers - such as via email, mobile and web channels - and then providing actionable insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Any AI and automation experience would be highly valued
• Highly preferred skills: Salesforce data, POS retail sales data, marketing campaign data, loyalty data, statistics and experimentation for incrementality reporting

You will work in a great team with supportive management, other data teammates and a very large retail data footprint. While the core of this role is analysis and insights, past experience in data science and machine learning techniques is highly desirable and we would also value any NLP / language model exposure for future projects.

The role is a 10 month contract, full-time and based in Sydney.

You will be required to work hybrid with at minimum, 3 days in Sydney CBD office.

The contract pays a rate - equivalent to $72 per hour including super, which would have a pro rata annualised estimated earnings of $112,500 + super.
