We are seeking experienced and passionate social work professionals to join our Family Service Centre. Depending on your qualifications and experience, you may be considered for an Assistant Senior Social Worker or Senior Social Worker position.

In this role, you will provide professional casework and counselling services to individuals and families, develop programmes, collaborate with community partners, and contribute to strengthening social work practice within the organisation. Senior-level candidates will also provide professional leadership, supervision, and support service development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide casework, counselling, information, referral, and crisis intervention services to individuals and families.

Manage clients with complex psychosocial needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.

Develop, implement, and evaluate group work, community programmes, and preventive initiatives.

Build and maintain partnerships with community organisations and multidisciplinary stakeholders to enhance service delivery.

Maintain timely, accurate, and professional case documentation in accordance with organisational and professional standards.

Participate in case conferences, multidisciplinary discussions, and organisational projects.

For Senior Social Worker appointments, additional responsibilities include:

Provide professional supervision, coaching, and mentoring to Social Workers, junior staff, and interns.

Lead case consultations and support the implementation of practice standards, policies, and service improvements.

Assist the Head of Department in service planning, operations, quality improvement, and strategic initiatives.

Support staff capability development and promote ethical, evidence-informed social work practice.

Requirements

Degree or Graduate Diploma in Social Work recognised for professional social work practice in Singapore.

Registered Social Worker accreditation in Singapore is preferred (or required for Senior Social Worker appointments).

Relevant experience in a Family Service Centre or community-based social service setting.

Strong casework, counselling, communication, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills.

Self-motivated team player with a passion for serving vulnerable individuals and families.

Appointment will be based on qualifications and experience:

Assistant Senior Social Worker

Minimum 5 years of relevant social work experience.

Experience providing supervision, mentoring, or guidance to junior social workers, social work associates, interns, or students will be advantageous.

Senior Social Worker

Minimum 6 years of relevant social work experience.

At least 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.

Postgraduate qualifications or specialist training in counselling, family violence, child protection, trauma, play therapy, mental health, or related areas will be an advantage.
