◆Title:
Senior / Sales Engineer (Japanese Speaking) – Semiconductor Industry

◆Role Overview:
Our client is a Japanese manufacturing company specialising in high-performance sealing solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company supports customers across the APAC region and works closely with semiconductor manufacturers and equipment manufacturers.

This role will be responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing suitable product solutions based on customer requirements. The successful candidate will also gain regional exposure through collaboration with counterparts across Asia and the U.S.

◆Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with semiconductor manufacturers and equipment manufacturers through regular customer engagement and visits.
• Identify new business opportunities, develop new customer accounts, and expand existing accounts by understanding customer requirements and future projects.
• Promote high-performance elastomer sealing products, primarily O-rings, and recommend suitable solutions based on customer requirements.
• Monitor market trends, customer activities, projects, competitor products, and industry developments to identify potential sales opportunities.
• Manage sales activities including customer follow-ups, quotations, sales forecasts, reports, and order status.
• Monitor customer requirements, stock levels, and inventory, coordinating with relevant internal teams where required.
• Liaise with regional counterparts in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, and the U.S. to support customer and business requirements.
• Support sales and marketing activities and provide regular sales and market updates to management.
• Travel within Singapore and Southeast Asia as required.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

◆Requirements:
[Must Have]
• Relevant working experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Proven experience in sales and business development, with the ability to develop customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Proficiency in Japanese for liaising with Japanese-speaking customers and business counterparts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

[Good to Have]
• Experience working with semiconductor manufacturers or semiconductor equipment manufacturers.
• Experience managing customers or business relationships across the Southeast Asian or wider APAC region.
• Experience in technical sales or selling industrial/manufacturing products.
