Melbourne | FMCG & Manufacturing Sector

Join a High-Performance Service Team – Future Victorian Service Leader

LETO Technology is a leading provider of industrial coding and identification solutions, supporting some of Australia's largest FMCG, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, and industrial businesses.

As we continue to expand nationally, we're looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer who is not only passionate about technical work but is also eager to grow into a leadership role.

This is an opportunity to join our Victorian team as a hands-on engineer while developing the skills and experience required to become our future Victorian Service Team Leader. You'll work closely with management, take ownership of customer outcomes, engage with new accounts, mentor others as the team grows, and play a key role in establishing our Victorian service operation.

We're looking for someone who:

Takes ownership and accountability for customer outcomes and service delivery.

Solves problems properly the first time through strong technical capability and attention to detail.

Is confident building customer relationships and identifying opportunities to grow existing and new accounts.

Is willing to support the initial expansion of our Victorian operation by onboarding new customers, conducting equipment audits, and establishing preventative maintenance and service plans.

Leads by example through professionalism, integrity, and technical excellence.

Enjoys mentoring and supporting others as the Victorian team grows.

Has a commercial mindset and understands that exceptional service is the foundation of long-term customer partnerships.

Wants to build a long-term career with a clear pathway into a Service Team Leader position.

If you're an experienced Field Service Engineer looking for more than just another service role, this is an opportunity to help establish and grow LETO Technology's Victorian presence. You'll play a key role in developing our customer base, delivering premium technical support, and laying the foundations for a high-performing service team, with the opportunity to progress into a leadership position as the business continues to expand.

The Role

This is a hands-on, customer-facing Field Service Engineer position supporting high-speed manufacturing and production environments across Victoria.

As one of the first technical representatives in the region, you will play a critical role in establishing LETO Technology's Victorian service operation. Beyond delivering premium technical support, you will help develop long-term customer relationships, onboard new accounts, and identify opportunities to grow our service presence.

You will be trusted to diagnose, repair, and prevent issues across critical production equipment where reliability, uptime, and customer confidence are paramount.

Comprehensive product training will be provided; however, this opportunity is best suited to an experienced engineer who can quickly apply their existing expertise while continuing to develop across our product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, service, and maintain Continuous Inkjet (CIJ), Thermal Inkjet (TIJ), Thermal Transfer Overprinting (TTO), Laser, Large Character (LCM), and Label Print & Apply (LPA) systems.

Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and communication faults across a wide range of industrial equipment.

Deliver high-quality first-time fix outcomes while maintaining excellent customer service.

Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise production downtime.

Support new customer onboarding, including equipment audits, asset documentation, preventative maintenance planning, and operator training.

Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to expand service, consumable, spare parts, and equipment opportunities.

Provide operator and maintenance training to improve equipment performance and customer self-sufficiency.

Accurately complete service documentation, asset records, quotations, recommendations, and parts usage through our Service CRM.

Maintain vehicle stock, specialised tooling, and spare parts to ensure a high level of field readiness.

Collaborate closely with the national service, projects, and sales teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Contribute to the continued growth of LETO Technology's Victorian customer base while helping establish the foundations of a future service team.

Achieve key performance indicators across safety, utilisation, customer satisfaction, technical quality, documentation, and commercial performance.

This role includes regular travel throughout Victoria, periodic interstate travel for training and customer support, participation in a rotating on-call roster, and occasional weekend work to meet customer production requirements.

For the right candidate, this position offers a genuine pathway into a VIC Service Supervisor role as our operations continue to grow.

What You'll Bring
