The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Governance Integrity and Strategy Manager to provide strategic leadership across governance, risk, corporate communications and organisational strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this pivotal role sits at the heart of Council operations, ensuring strong governance frameworks, legislative compliance and transparent decision-making, while shaping the organisation’s long-term strategic direction.
In this key leadership role, you will:
Lead corporate strategy development and integrated planning
Develop and implement a contemporary governance framework
Provide expert advice on governance, policy, delegations and statutory obligations
Lead improvements in accountability, controls and organisational integrity
Oversee Council communications while developing engagement and community initiatives
Mentor and develop team members
This role is based at our Kapunda office, within an easy drive of Adelaide.
About you:
You are an experienced and motivated professional looking for a leadership opportunity, passionate about delivering high-quality public outcomes and contributing at both operational and strategic levels.
You bring:
Degree in Legal Studies, Public Policy & Governance, Business or similar (or equivalent experience)
At least 3 years’ governance or legal experience
Strong knowledge of LG Act and Regulations, and Freedom of Information Act
Accredited FOI Officer (desirable)
Experience in project management for process improvement and business optimisation
Strong strategic thinking and political acumen with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
