My client is a progressive and growing CA accounting firm in Norwest. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Business Services division. The management team have derived their experience from the top tier practices in Australia and currently work with various client groups including global scalable start-ups, SMEs, investment funds, family groups and multinationals.
Reporting directly to the Manager, you will provide compliance and consulting services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries and client groups. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparation and review of tax returns and financial statements across various entities
Preparation of BAS and FBT returns
Tax and financial reporting consolidations
Identifying and calculating Division 7A implications
Assisting the Manager with tax planning and business structuring advice
Identifying opportunities for process improvements across the business and client base
Mentoring junior staff and reviewing their work
Assisting with workflow meetings and day-to-day team supervision
The ideal candidate:
Proven experience operating in a Senior Accountant capacity within public practice
CA or CPA qualification (or near completion) highly regarded
Professional, reliable, and committed approach to work
Proactive mindset with a strong work ethic and ability to take ownership of responsibilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in client-facing interaction
