Your Role as a Social Worker:

The Social Worker works as part of a collaborative team to

Address the social, financial, emotional and behavioural concerns of students and their family members, taking into consideration their mental and physical well-being. This could take the form of individual or group sessions.

Work with parents and caregivers, equipping and empowering them through information and education to build a better relationship with their child and the school.

Collaborate with teachers, other allied health professionals and external agencies to create a better environment in support of the student’s learning.

Requirements:

Degree in Social Work from a recognized educational institution.

Preferably with at least 1 to 2 years working experience in social services.

Passionate about improving the well-being of children with special needs.

Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
