About the role

Future Engineering and Communication is seeking experienced Telecommunication Riggers to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on position based in Cockburn Central, WA 6164, where you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of telecommunication infrastructure.

As a Telecommunication Rigger, you will be responsible for safely erecting, positioning, and securing equipment on towers, poles, and other structures to support our expanding telecommunications network. This role is essential to ensuring reliable communication services for our clients and the broader community.

Key responsibilities

Installing and positioning telecommunication equipment, antennas, and cabling on towers, poles, and rooftops with precision and safety as top priorities

Assembling, erecting, and securing structural components such as antenna mounts, brackets, and support systems

Performing routine maintenance and inspections of installed equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards

Conducting equipment upgrades and modifications as required by project specifications and engineering requirements

Safely operating and managing rigging equipment, including cranes, winches, and hoists to position heavy telecommunications apparatus

Following all health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to fall prevention procedures

Collaborating with engineering teams and site supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification

Documenting completed work, including installation records and equipment configurations for maintenance and compliance purposes

Conducting site surveys and assessments to identify potential hazards and optimise installation approaches

Troubleshooting equipment issues and performing corrective adjustments as needed

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Telecommunication Rigger, Tower Technician, or similar role within the telecommunications or construction industry

Valid working at heights certification (Working at Heights) and current first aid qualifications

Strong understanding of rigging practices, equipment safety, and telecommunications infrastructure standards

Proficiency in operating rigging equipment such as cranes, winches, and hoists

Knowledge of telecommunications equipment, antenna systems, and cabling installations

Excellent physical fitness and ability to work at significant heights for extended periods

Strong attention to detail and commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various sites as required

Relevant certifications such as rigging tickets, crane operation licenses, or telecommunications qualifications are highly desirable
