An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Patternmaker / Garment Technician with a major wholesale fashion company

This role is ideal for an experienced Pattern Maker, Garment Technician, Technical Designer or Fit Technician with strong Gerber skills and a passion for delivering high-quality apparel products from development through to production.

Working closely with Account Managers, Buyers and our offshore production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring garments meet required fit, quality and manufacturing standards while managing multiple styles across a fast-paced fashion production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed Tech Packs to required fit and manufacturing standards from samples, specifications and online references.

Develop first-fit patterns and garment specifications using Gerber (Version 16).

Manage sample requests and communication with our Vietnam production office.

Measure, press and assess fit samples upon receipt.

Conduct pre-fit reviews and provide solutions to garment fit, construction and production issues.

Attend fit sessions with Account Managers and Buyers.

Update patterns, measurements and specifications following fit sessions through to PP approval.

Assist with bulk garment measurements, production comments and quality assessments.

Maintain work-in-progress schedules and production timelines.

Manage and maintain the Gerber pattern library.

Ensure all styles are progressed efficiently to meet critical path deadlines.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience as a Patternmaker, Senior Patternmaker, Garment Technician, Technical Designer, Fit Technician or Product Developer within the apparel industry.

Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading and manufacturing processes.

Proven experience using Gerber Pattern Making Software (V16 preferred).

Experience creating technical specifications, measurement charts and Tech Packs.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple styles, fittings and production deadlines simultaneously.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Google Sheets and Gmail.

A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team environment.
