About the role

JMist is seeking a Café All Rounder to join our team in Hobart. This is a casual position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment. As a Café All Rounder, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and food preparation across all aspects of our café operations. Whether you're working front-of-house or in the kitchen, you'll contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring our customers enjoy a memorable experience.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and assemble sandwiches and rolls according to café recipes and standards

Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain hygiene standards at all times

Take customer orders and process transactions at the point of sale

Stock and rotate ingredients whilst maintaining inventory awareness

Clean and sanitise kitchen and serving areas to maintain health and safety compliance

Support the team during peak service periods to ensure efficient operations

Respond to customer queries and requests with a positive attitude

Assist with basic food preparation tasks including chopping, portioning and plating

What we're looking for

Previous experience working in a café, kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential

Strong personal hygiene and food safety awareness

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to casual shift work

Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied tasks

Positive customer service attitude and communication skills
