Morgan's IGA is a proud family-owned supermarket group operating across four stores in Victoria. We're looking for an energetic and hands-on Deli Manager to lead our deli team and deliver an outstanding fresh food experience for our customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated retail leader who enjoys working with people, maintaining high standards, and driving results in a fast-paced fresh food environment.

About the Role

As Deli Manager, you'll take ownership of the department and be responsible for:

Leading, coaching and developing a team of deli assistants

Delivering excellent customer service and product knowledge

Managing stock ordering, rotation and inventory control

Reducing shrink through effective stock management and food safety practices

Creating attractive displays and maintaining merchandising standards

Managing department rosters and labour budgets

Monitoring sales, margins and department profitability

Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety requirements

Maintaining a clean, organised and ready-for-business department at all times

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a supermarket, deli, fresh food or hospitality management role

Strong leadership and team-building skills

Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Ability to manage stock, ordering and department performance

Knowledge of food safety and handling practices

A hands-on approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Reliable, organised and results-focused
