About the role
Responsible for designing and delivering mechanical systems for industrial, semiconductor, data centre and high-tech projects, ensuring compliance with technical, safety and project requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Develop mechanical engineering designs for industrial, semiconductor, data centre and high-technology projects.
Design HVAC, ACMV, chilled water, ventilation and other mechanical systems.
Prepare mechanical layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, specifications and design calculations.
Perform equipment sizing, system calculations and technical evaluations.
Coordinate mechanical designs with Electrical, Process, Structural, Architectural and BIM disciplines.
Review technical drawings, specifications, equipment data sheets and vendor submissions.
Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors and project teams to resolve technical issues.
Support design reviews, site surveys, construction and commissioning activities.
Ensure designs comply with project specifications, relevant codes, standards and authority requirements.
Identify design risks and provide practical engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Relevant mechanical design experience in industrial, semiconductor, data centre, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or commercial projects.
Good knowledge of HVAC/ACMV and mechanical building services systems.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM or other relevant design software.
Familiarity with Singapore codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
EPC, engineering consultancy or design-and-build experience will be an advantage.
