District Administration Assistant

Now, a little about the role:
We're looking for an organised and customer-focused administrator to become the welcoming face of our Ipswich office. In this varied permanent part-time role (0.8 FTE), you'll support veterans, volunteers and community members while helping keep district operations running smoothly.
This position is office-based, with no regular work-from-home arrangement available. Occasional travel and out-of-hours or weekend work may be required to support district activities, meetings and community events.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide a high level of customer service to visitors, volunteers, veterans and community members
- Respond professionally and empathetically to inbound calls and enquiries
- Complete general office administration and coordinate incoming deliveries
- Assist with meetings, agendas, travel, accommodation, catering and follow-up actions
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports
- Update directories, collect data and prepare reimbursement claims, correspondence and documentation
- Participate in district activities and community events as required
What's required to succeed:
- Exceptional customer service supported by strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- A practical, proactive and self-starting approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to bend and reach above shoulder height carrying 5-7kg
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or ability to obtain one
- Ability to undertake occasional travel and weekend work
