Immediate Start FP&A Manager role

Own FP&A delivery across budget finalisation, forecasting and management reporting

Sydney Inner West location with 1 day WFH. 3-4 month contract. $100 - $120/hr + Super equivalent.

Our client is a premium Australian retail business with a highly recognisable brand, a national store network and a growing international presence. With a creative product-led environment and strong operators across the business, this is a company that offers both pace and commercial complexity.

The finance team is well established and includes senior finance leadership, systems, tax, accounting and analysis capability. This contract will support a busy period as the business moves through year-end, budget finalisation and the quarterly forecasting cycle.

This opportunity offers hybrid flexibility with 1 day a week of work from home available.

The Role

Your position as FP&A Manager will take ownership of the FP&A function during a 4-month internal project backfill. Your duties will include (but not be limited to):

Managing the FP&A function during a 4-month contract backfill

Reviewing and finalising the annual budget, which is close to completion

Leading the quarterly forecasting process, including stakeholder engagement, analysis and consolidation

Preparing monthly management reporting, variance analysis and performance commentary for senior leadership

Partnering with business leaders to provide commercial insights on performance, profitability and cost initiatives

Monitoring financial and operational KPIs, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement

Performing ad hoc financial analysis and modelling to support strategic and operational initiatives

Providing day-to-day leadership to a Financial Analyst and ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved

Your Background

To be considered for this FP&A Manager position, you will meet the following criteria:

Immediately available and comfortable stepping into a senior contract role

CA or CPA qualified

Bring proven FP&A Manager, Head of Finance or senior commercial finance experience

Have experience in retail, fashion, inventory, e-commerce, wholesale or another product-based environment

Those who have worked in similar senior FP&A roles are encouraged to apply, as are candidates with relatable backgrounds, including Head of Finance, Commercial Manager, Finance Manager, Senior Finance Business Partner or Commercial Finance Lead.
